Tuesday, July 14th • Beth’s House • 19 Somerset Circle, North Kingstown, RI
6:00-9:00
3 DESIGNS TO CHOOSE FROM!
Curious about stained glass but not quite ready to cut your own pieces? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to start. Using pre-cut glass, you’ll skip the most technical step and focus on assembling, soldering, and finishing a beautiful stained glass piece.
We’ll begin with a quick introduction to the tools, materials, and safety basics so you feel comfortable working with glass. Then you’ll jump right into the creative process—learning how to handle and prepare pre-cut pieces for assembly.
Next, you’ll be guided through the copper foil method. You’ll wrap each glass piece with foil, learning how to create smooth, even edges that help your design come together cleanly. Once foiled, you’ll move on to soldering, where all your pieces are joined into a finished design. This is often the most exciting part—watching everything come together!
We’ll also cover how to add small details like loops or chains if your piece is meant to hang, along with simple finishing techniques such as cleaning and polishing to give your project a professional look.
By the end of the class, you’ll have:
A completed stained glass project made from pre-cut pieces
Hands-on experience with foiling and soldering
Confidence using stained glass tools in a safe, approachable way
A beautiful piece ready to display or gift
