Broom Adorning: A Botanical Broom Workshop

$55.00

Saturday, October 24th • 1 South Main Street, Coventry 1:30-4:00

Host: Artist in Residence Jody Barna

Learn the old-world craft of building and adorning your own decorative broom, using a natural twig handle bound with twine and dressed in dried flowers, herbs, and foraged grasses. Rooted in folk tradition, this workshop blends rustic technique with a touch of ritual, creating a piece meant to be displayed, gifted, or kept as a seasonal talisman for the home.

We'll cover binding and wrapping the base, then layering in dried botanicals for a composition with movement, color, and texture, each broom taking on its own character. No prior experience needed, just an appreciation for handwork and natural materials.

You'll leave with a finished broom ready to hang by your door or hearth, along with the technique to keep adorning brooms season after season.

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the class will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the class will receive a class credit to use toward a future Mandala workshop. Cancellations made 72 hours or less before the class are not eligible for a credit or refund, as supplies and kits are purchased ahead of time. Thank you for your understanding!
